Intelligent battery combiner 12/24V 120A
Relay 120 Amps 12/24 volts Cyrix-i Victron
This relay or also called battery combiners disconnects a battery in the event of a short but high amperage charge.
Victron's Cyrix Battery Combiner is a microprocessor-controlled heavy-duty relay that automatically connects batteries in parallel when one of them has reached a preset voltage (indicating that the battery is charging) and disconnects when the voltage drops below below the float level (indicating that one or more batteries are discharging).
Cyrix battery combiners are an excellent replacement for diode isolators. The main feature is that there is practically no voltage loss, so it is not necessary to increase the output voltage of alternators or battery chargers.

Intelligent battery monitoring to prevent unwanted changes
Some battery combiners (also called a voltage controlled relay or split charge relay) will disconnect a battery in the event of a short, but high amperage load.
A battery combiner may also fail to connect a large but discharged battery bank because the DC voltage immediately drops below the disconnect value once the batteries are connected.
What the Victron Cyrix-ct 12/24 software does is simply connect and disconnect according to the battery voltage and with a fixed time delay.
The Cyrix-ct 12/24 observes the overall trend (increasing or decreasing voltage) and reverses a previous action only if the trend has reversed over a certain period of time. The delay time depends on the voltage deviation from the trend. (for battery combiners with multiple on/off profiles, see Cyrix-i 400)
Protection against overheating (due to long-term overload, for example)
The Cyrix will deactivate in the event of excessive contact temperature and will reactivate once it has cooled.

Prioritizing the starting battery
In a typical configuration, the alternator is directly connected to the starting battery. The service or supply battery, and possibly also a bow thruster and other batteries, are connected to the starting battery with Cyrix battery combiners. When a Cyrix detects that the starter battery has reached the cut-in voltage, it will activate to allow parallel charging of the other batteries.
Bi-directional voltage detection and power supply of both batteries
The Cyrix detects the voltage of both connected batteries. It will therefore also be activated if, for example, the auxiliary battery is charged with a battery charger.
The Cyrix-ct 12/24 has a dual power supply. Therefore, it will also shut down if the voltage of a battery is too low to operate the Cyrix.
To prevent unexpected operation during installation or when a battery has been disconnected, the Cyrix-ct 12/24 will not close if the voltage at one of the two battery connections is less than 2V (12V battery) or 4V (12V battery). 24V battery).
Parallel connection in case of emergency (Start Assist)
The Cyrix can also be coupled with a push button (Cyrix remains activated for 30 seconds) or a switch to manually connect the batteries in parallel.
This is especially useful in an emergency when the starter battery is discharged or damaged.
