About the Blue Smart IP22 Range
The Blue Smart IP22 charger is the new professional battery charger with integrated Bluetooth. This will allow you to check the battery status from a smartphone, tablet or laptop. With the VictronConnect app you can configure all charger parameters.
The Blue Smart IP22 charger can be used on devices both in your workshop and in motor vehicles, such as (classic) cars, motorcycles, boats and motorhomes.
The Blue Smart IP22's seven-stage charging algorithm brings out the best in your battery. The charger provides the battery with the power it needs, maintains its good condition, guarantees better performance... and a longer useful life.
Unlike other brands, the Blue Smart IP22 charger will attempt to recharge a deeply discharged battery by force-feeding it at low current. Then, as soon as there is enough voltage on the battery terminals, it will charge normally again.
Additionally, the Blue Smart IP22 will provide you with the following special features:
- High efficiency: With an efficiency of up to 94%, these chargers generate up to four times less heat compared to the
industry standard. And once the battery is fully charged, consumption is reduced to 0.5 watts, five to ten times less than the industry standard. - Storage Mode: Storage mode is activated when the battery has not been discharged in 24 hours. In storage mode, the float voltage is reduced to 2.2 V/cell (13.2 V for 12 V batteries) to reduce gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is raised again to the absorption level to “equalize” the battery. This feature prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, the main causes of battery failure.
- Prepared for Lithium Technology: LiFePO4 batteries are charged with a simple initial charge – absorption – float algorithm.
- Night and Low Mode: When NIGHT or LOW modes are active, the output current is reduced to a maximum of 50% of the output
rated and the charger will be totally silent. NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours.
